    A anti-itch tip for grinding/sanding fiberglass...

I like the baby powder idea. I will give that a try this week. Previously, I try to make sure I'm wearing gloves and long sleeve shirts on composite days to avoid contact with the fibers. If I forget, I always step outside with the air hose and blow off my hands and arms before washing with...

    It's Flip To Be Square...

I've never ran tubbies on any of my skis. I'm not sure how they would fit with the rocker at this point. They appear to only attach with 3 or 4 bolts. I suppose you could play with mounting locations before the final paint job and fill any unused holes. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    It's Flip To Be Square...

That's pretty much what to expect. I can't help you with the business end because I haven't bit the bullet and tried to sell anything yet, but I've built a few hulls from scratch. Looks like you're off to a very good start, but if you need any advise or tips, don't be afraid to ask myself, air...

    It's Flip To Be Square...

Top notch work for a "noob". Next, everyone will want to know if you are gonna make molds and start selling hulls. Better get your pricing figured out. ;)

Custom/Hybrid the -HAMMER- with a touch of carbon

Nope. We skipped WR 2015 as I wasn't finished with my ski and we were still warming up from those 2014 water temps. We are planning on making it this year depending on what weekend the watcon ride is over in Wisconsin. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    SHOW YOUR SHOP

I don't have any pics of my compound handy, but I would highly recommend 2x6 exterior walls and insulate with r19. This makes it easier to work late into the night by holding in the noise if you have neighbors, as well as letting you heat it with a candle and cool it with an ice cube. Also, my...

    2016 Fantasy Supercross

Looks like most of us gambled on #5 for the win. Had Peick chosen for my 9th placer, but he needed to take care of some business. I left A1 with 20 points.

    Sedimentary resin layers

Doesn't look like you waste much resin per job. What is your system for calculating how much juice is needed for each part?????

    Possible 40$ (Shipped) Scissor stand

Here's what I threw together from an old Kmart shopping cart. Just had to take the basket off and bend the supports a bit before welding some angle iron on to attach the bunks to. The Kawasaki...

    Possible 40$ (Shipped) Scissor stand

I have the Harbor Freight stands in my shop and I wasn't so sure about putting my molds on them, let alone a fully built ski. Flexible like emt conduit only thinner. Excellent for light projects, but too Chinese for anything more. I'd stick to the modded shopping cart for a shop stand, and...

Custom/Hybrid the -HAMMER- with a touch of carbon

Thanks. The biggest changes were made in the nose and pretty much the entire bottom deck. The original hull is so blunt that it's actually scary to nose stab, as it does not want to pierce the water at all. It was also very unforgiving when it come to "nosing in" flips. Those issues were...

Custom/Hybrid the -HAMMER- with a touch of carbon

I didn't get too much into the dimensions, but as I mentioned at the beginning, its a tiny carbon ski. The top deck from nose to tail is 78". The bottom is 71" from the nose to the end of the ride plate. It's a flipper and spinner, not a wave or buoy chaser.

    Leaky resin FootRocket

Wow!! And us garage jockeys are expected to build lesser quality parts than the big guys?? Give me a break. That thing had to feel like rubber when it was being bonded together.
