Maybe I'm too resourceful, but before I bought a legit trim system, I found jagwire stainless steel tandem bicycle rear brake cables and a roll of cable housing on Amazon and built my own cable very cheap.
I lost a hero 2 with floaty door last year. Now I use an aluminum tripod mount bolted to my helmet, an aluminum lens protector with tether mount, and a stainless tether cord. Rain X doesn't work the greatest. I'm hoping someone designs a lens protector with an air diverter to blow the water...

Not sure about your pump situation, but check out your check valve on the tank. Yesterday a buddies ski would bog and die after 20 minutes or so. Check valve was stuck and not letting air back in the tank to let fuel flow out.
brass fittings should be for the water inlet on the exhaust manifold. If your gaskets are good everywhere, those chambers should stay separated and not leak. Put a few lbs of air in and watch your gauge. Get your soapy spray bottle ready if seems to be leaky.
Nope. You've got problems if you need to plug your coolant lines to get a seal. Just block off the intake and exhaust manifolds, leave the plugs in, and monitor pressure through the pulse line. I can't tune motor for sheit, but I can verify when they are sealed. I'm sure someone will chime...
