I shipped a car hood from Illinois to Colorado years ago for like $75 and have received numerous import body kits through Greyhound. Never had any types of issues and the rates are unreal compared to actual freight. The down side is the limited amount of terminals.

If you're not a big guy and can still feel comfortable on a 20 inch, I'd try one on the track before jumping up to a 24. For me it just seems like timing the jumps and the overall control of a cruiser is nothing like a standard 20". Check out www.danscomp.com for a few bikes near your budget.

I beg to differ. My project started with a modified Yamaha pump tunnel and a few stacks of R-board. I don't hate on anyone that lightly mods a deck to splash a mold because that is serious work as well.
