So I am about to reassemble. What elevation are you at? I'd like to see how close your jetting will be to mine. I am running a factory pipe...with basically the same set up.
Once I get the cases back I'll port and assemble. I had to have them bored to fit the larger sleeves. Plus I still have to tap and add a second pulse fitting for my dual 44's. Thanks for the photo btw.
It hit just fine but I didn't have the the correct mount in the front for it. Ian is right my chamber hits harder than the blaster chamber ...BUT I didn't have the screws dialed in as well as I do now nor did I have a FCV installed so its not completely apples for apples. My issues was for...
I have a builder who knows what he is talking about and it really is that simple. There is a really good thread on it where someone does it completely on his own minus having the heads adjusted. I have been in contact with him and he tells me the results were amazing.
I still have the 10/16 in it and it hits fine. But I run a bored nozzle and a pump cone. I think I could get a lot more out of the set up if I spent more time tuning.
I have done very little with the motor and set up as my focus has changed to House projects but I will tell you this. The set up hits ok...but it a little odd. It hits immediately than gets soft until about 1/4 throttle..than pulls hard again. I am planning on switching to 62t cases, porting...
Have you played with the Idle ajuster at all? Also, you might have the cable too tight. You should be able to push it about have inch in towards the carb before opening in the butterfly. That pole is an interesting design...looks like a beast!
Why not bend the spring a bit to bring it down...
This is just plain crazy...and awesome! I can't even imagine riding like this. Takes some big b*lls and even smaller brains. No insult intended..I am just saying I would out think this and end up getting hurt.
Ian...my ski is not quite beast status, however I am only willing to take it so far based on money. I agree she pulls hard, but lacks a little right off idle. I describe it as thin on the power band off idle, than kicks like a bronco after you get past that soft spot in the throttle. I am...
I am as well ^ and it hits pretty well...I have a b pipe with a 760 cylinder. My issue is there is no porting done and the 760 port timing is crappy. I will fix that shortly with dual 48's, a 62t case cut to fix the timing, domes cut to match the new piston pop, and an ADA Head. That should...
