The only thing you can do is drain plugs/screws until you can cut it open. And even then you might as well let the plugs there for the future becuase it’s more of a “when will it leak again” and less of a will it leak again situation with most skis
If you end up with a receiver you could just get one of those step up adapters and plop your hauler into that to gain clearance.
If you’ve ever heard of sumosprings they’re a cheaper and easier option than airbags for a smaller truck and I think the smaller set increases your payload capacity...
Always remember to dry fit your cables before you close your ski up or you’ll end up like me and not be able to get the cable thru after closing the ski up haha. Trust me bending the stainless isn’t so bad if you do decide to go that way.
The problem with salt isn’t with the pex it’s with the thru hull fittings and the clamps if you decide to use them. I was considering using plastic thru hull fittings with pex a for a totally metal free setup but I think the plastic would get brittle pretty fast and break. You can also get the...
Currently on second season of reinforced water line w/stainless clamps on my circus but it was more of a temporary fix and I never ride salt. Planning on opening it up and going to pex soon just haven’t had the time. I would think pex A would be easier to work with because it’s more flexible and...
Still offering this service way cheaper than anyone else does.
This is almost an identical process to what WPC does with a few changed steps.
Micro shot peening of the surface and an added layer of “dry lube”.
Seeing bearings come back from race seasons that look immaculate. Increasing valve...
I have been riding since I was 12 and recently got out to an event where someone who actually knew how to throw down on a flat water ski pointed out a few things to help me improve my flat water riding. To be fair I spend more time building them than riding them but still on the setup I have my...
The 650’s are notorious for stripping splines
with their insane arm yanking spine destroying career ending instant volcanic power generated mostly in part due to the comically small carb/intake setup that generates INSANE fuel/air velocity.
In fact I heard Yamaha actually had to detune them...
Looks like some carbon deposit just flaked off there in the picture to me.
Plus 2 on the midshaft.
My ski doesn’t audibly squeak when I shut it off but if I turn the engine over by hand I can clearly hear a squeak coming from the midshaft seal. Try running the engine disconnected from the...
For sure dude, honestly I just enjoy whichever setup wake I happen to be in the best position for haha.
Off a wake boat the first wave for sure they’re massive but out in the lake whatever gets it done I guess lol
Hell sometimes I have my larger buddies motor their sit downs about 7’ apart from...
I have trouble setting up on the first wave off the boat I almost find it easier, at least with smaller wake, to drop into the second and hit that on this ski
I’d say a fair bit, the typical milky arrestor situation, but for the most part the ski never really shut off on me or stumbled because...
Long story short
Engine got obliterated, again, by the rrp waterbox.
I rebuilt it, changed to a pfp waterbox, and along the lines updated my MSD setup and wiring to be a little prettier and use duetsch connectors for quick troubleshooting.
Changed from a thrust fill to a summit fill with a...
Barely any scuff on the cylinder wall
Locked up between shifts from 1st to 2nd
Rod had enough after 32 years haha
Ain’t a ski please forgive me kahuna I thought it was interesting
