    Surface rust on bearing cage

if inside the race and the balls are clean and it spins smooth i would find a way to clean her up a little and run it. I actually have a stock stroke crank with a similar issue I was going to vapor hone and try out. Obviously slightly different though. If anything you could see if someone will...

Engine Size + Hull Recommendation for a 6'4" 225lb male??

My suggestion to you is to find a aftermarket hull, probably Fglass because you’re learning on it, that has a piped 701 with bolt ons and go from there. When you figure you have learned enough to move onto a bigger engine you can keep the hull and move up. Im not sure how mechanically inclined...

Where do we post "help" questions?

The pipe is great, just get your hands on a power factor waterbox and forget the headache.

Where do we post "help" questions?

If you are running the RRP waterbox you will get water in your engine. It’s not if, it’s how much. I have tried everything short of sticking my pecker in the thing and always always always got water in my engine(s). Spacer foam block, trap in pipe, crazy water line injection and routing, didn’t...

    What Hone?

All Yamaha engines these days are Chinese clone engines ;) It does take a certain fineness to handle such a fine instrument.. I prefer to use beach sand for the initial run down then sandbox sand for my finishing pass.

High revs, fuel issue - riva powerbomb, xs900rr

After reassembly there is almost always pockets of air in the fuel system and this leads to the “high revving” on startup you’re talking about. It takes a little to fill that fuel filter as well. Not sure if you tried but putting your hands over one carb at a time and cranking the ski will help...

    Exhaust exit location.

What do you have to lose, if it doesn’t work patch it and throw a sticker over the hole. My vote is that you notice minimal if any difference at all especially on a couch.

    Exhaust exit location.

Honestly with a low profile exit I doubt you’d even be able to notice any difference in ride. I know I’m comparing two different locations but I’ve never been able to notice the difference on front exit superjets/am hulls. Maybe I just suck though :)

    62t 701 bog

Did you rebuild those carbs with genuine kits? Is the gas fresh? Does it still have the oem fuel filter? Does it have the factory fuel selector switch ? Compression test after your maiden voyage? I personally would avoid the Ol’ throw some sea foam at it approach :) Oem line is pretty good...

Where's the best place to buy or have a crank rebuilt?

Have had great experiences with Chris at C57 with fast turn arounds and good prices. Has always bailed me out of tight spots time wise. Also have had good luck with JM sbt cranks. Imo best option money/reliability (if you don’t trust sbt) is a FB part out junk crank sent out for a rebuild...
