the ground is hooked to the top bolt that secures the starter to the case, is it supposed to be somewhere else? yea i have to admit, i was getting ready to send you a nasty pm thinking that the starter was bad, but i grinded it on some wood and it just smoked the hell out of it.

I have no idea where to go next. my starter froze up on me so i got a new one today and i'm still having problems. with the plugs out, the motor spins crazy fast. however, as soon as i put my fingers over the hole, the starter dies out. now i know what you're thinking, bad battery or weak...

i have an unmodified stock cdi if you want/need it. i have no idea what to tell you about the problem though, i can't imagine it's a bad cdi, did you check compression?

yea my doctors keep sayin the same thing, it definately sucks. technically the starters aren't the same, but i was just gonna switch out the rear part of the superjet starter so that the sxr one would bolt up. i'm still not sure if it'd work or not though.

lol nope, it's not even on a trailer. it's sitting on one of those foam pad things in my driveway. i have a herniated disc so i can't lift anything, so until i can get someone to put it up on the trailer for me, it's gotta stay there. i tried getting the starter out of it today with no luck...

well i'm an idiot. here i am all dissapointed because i cant ride until i get the new starter, and complaining about how i wont ride the sxr... well there's a perfectly good starter sitting right there in the 350 pound weight in my driveway!:firedevil:
