Very slick. I would guess that would make it very easy to tune for different water temps too. May not be as big of a deal for you in Tenn. but in Michigan I tune my b-pipe in may when the water is cool and then by mid july when the water is much hotter I start to worry about overheating.

I’m not totally sure about the lock cable. I think it would be pretty easy to cut and stitch a little stir in the front. I only tie mine up in case the waves get out of control not for security. I have turfed rails and nose, the cover fits secure but enough extra slack to fit different setups.
