Not sure what you need but assuming another line for cooling. I bought the 3/8 waterline fitting from Riva racing. Can find on ebay too. They seem a little expensive for what they are but I'd rather rely on a bullet one over some I've seen made from plastic. At least for a waterline to the...
I think I remember seeing a post awhile back that you planned on making them but hadn't heard or seem any updates on them being for sale, probably a limited market now. The one in the pic is about the length I have now, are planning on making them longer and the full normal rideplate width...
Anybody got a chan ride plate they want to part with or somebody have a mold they want to sell or let me barrow? I have as short plate now and would like to make something a little longer for lake michigan and boat chasing. I'm trying to avoid the work of making one if possible, I've never...
I think that Odyssey lever doesn't have as much throw as the others. Most people use that with the x-metal trim which is a straight cable pull that requires about half the lever pull as the the thrush systems do to get the same trim angle.
Was just in Nashville last weekend and there's a bar called Headquarters Beercade that has tons of old school arcade games all free to play. They even mounted cup holders on the machines like Dave and Busters. Tapper is one of my favorites, I got a few games in.
I'd just swap the head, pipe and the hooker prop and leave the rest. Especially if the current engine in the SN is one that you've had for a while and know how reliable it is. Who knows how the RN engine was taken care of.
My son has a SN with a JM735, single carb and coffman pipe and it rips...
Wow, that's an intense paint/decal job. It has some good aftermarket parts on it but doesn't nessasarly look like it been taken care of all that great. I'd bet that motor has alot of hard hours on it as well. For that price I'd consider rebuilding the engine before it has an expensive failure.
$3500 sounds like a pretty good deal but ya definitely ride a superjet too before you buy one. A stock sj isn't going to feel like it has a bunch of low end punch either. But a pipe will fix that quickly.
I'm surprised the SXR with a pipe does not have much low end, mine did but it was set up that way. Is it a wet or dry pipe on the SXR you rode? If wet pipe it can be adjusted to better low end if it isn't already. Dry pipes are considered more of a racing pipe by most and would have less low...
Ya, SXR's are a bit bigger and bulky compared to a superjet. Especially in stock form, an SXR really comes alive with an aftermarket pipe. I had an SXR for over 10 years and loved it but finally make the switch to superjets. Wish I had switched sooner. I like to tinker though and there are...
Why would you strip a waveblaster? Seems like it would be worth way more to sell it whole. There are plenty of things that transfer, engine electronics midshaft and pump. But there are alot of things that you can't transfer, steering driveshaft waterbox gas tank.
Check the pump and prop. And look at the paint on the engine and excessive bubbling paint. Unfortunately the important parts to not have saltwater damage is inside. But if it’s been flushed after every use it should be good.
Any other evidence of saltwater corrosion, look in and around the pump.
Test the compression in both cylinders if possible.
Stress cracks around the handlepole bracket and the bottom of the hull or anywhere else it could have been abused in the surf.
