Xscream makes 2 different pipes, one is angled down for the helium hulls, would potentially fit your application better, but if you have room for a layer of turf and it still not touching, you should be fine.
Ya, I've had bad luck loaning out tools, and somehow its never the users fault, just best not to let people barrow your stuff, unless they are willing to replace it, but good luck with that...
The manifold works best with the 62t gaskets, so ive found you can split the difference with 62t gasket on 61x cylinder porting and mega black, and usually it'll work.
Before I welded it, how nicely the 61x gasket lined up...
Ive tried every silicone on the pfp mani, mega black works the best, usually that'll hold/work, but on my 900 I couldn't get it to seal, so I welded up the ports and machined back flat
Been a while, many new upgrades.
Finally stepped up to a 1200 last fall just before havasu, I was getting bored of the 900, this 1200 has made riding quite exciting again, now I just need to get in better physical condition
Had a great time at havasu per usual
Hit a snow storm on the way...
Rhaas mounts are garbage, and getting them "free replacement" is next to impossible. New OEM or nothing imo.. I have been told RRP are good, but all other a/m mounts I've tried break.
I'd say go for performance domes, if it makes a noticeable difference, more expensive plugs are worth it, imo.
Or if you can design it, that allows you to run standard or performance domes, so people can choose what they want.
RRP pipe or try the pfp wet. Msd TL or zeel.
Imo you need more power to make flatwater enjoyable. The more you ride, the more you want more power. Ideally stepup to a ss900, 964, 8 mill 950 etc.
760 cylinder swap would be a waste of money for flatwater.
I'd take a heavy layup carbon hull over a glass hull any day. My experience at my skill level(definitely not pro), was a game changer loosing 60 lbs, was blow away by how much easier flatwater and boat wake tricks were.
Carbon hulls can't handle the abuse like a glass hull, so it is better to...
From what I've seen, SE perform a little better then FS. I'm running FS 50+ on my 1200 and they work great. Cant go wrong with either. I know a few that like novi, but never personally ran them.
You check for leaks prior to pulling the resin threw.
Wet lay bagging will work also, just more labor involved, you also can't check for leaks prior to laying.
I'd have a spare pump on hand, I have 2 and luckily never had one fail, but I know xscream had that happen and had to throw away that...
Your need different molds, been down this road. You can't just shorten the hull without adding some width to the hull, short narrow hull rides like garbage.
As for making a cheap quality ski, that's cool and all, but the only place you can cut cost will be your labor rate. So if you dont mind...
msd is very simple to diagnosis, assuming you understand how it works.
Check main fuse/power getting threw it.
Turn on shifty mod. and test channel 1 and 2, LED should flash and you should have spark. Either jump the channels with a paper clip/connect/unconnect or use a spare pickup/plug it in...
