    Corey's Roundnose summer build

The guy I got it from was some kind of fool - he said "I listed it at a 10 day auction, so my friend could get the e-box figured out before the auction ended." Anyways, the motor seemed strong when the solenoid was jumped, I didn't get a chance to look into it further, Corey said "I need a RN...

    Superjet Wouldn't start

The lanyard holds up that plastic "rod", which, when in the downward position, makes it so that the ski will not turn over. It is simple to take the switch apart and clean the contacts, that is probably the issue.

What is this SJ Ride Plate?

Looks like a one-off plate, because I have never seen it and because the mounts are welded on - not like any plate I have ever seen. Looks like a good plate though, no skegs or anything to hold you onto the water!

    Superjet wont start

Yep - if the reserve doesn't work you can either replace the selector (I think I have a spare you can have) - or you can switch the main feed to the reserve tube if you don't want to use reserve. Gimme a call if you need a hand -Kurt

i am going to check out a squarenose tommorow

All my squares have had approx. 135 lbs I believe - pay close attention to how close the compression is between the two cylinders, but I think 130-150 is what you will see.

    2 bilge hoses into one?

Instead of typing this thread, you probably could have been done installing a 2nd bilge by now. Just run the same pump/hose/outlet out the other side of the ski and be done with it!

I can't get rid of my gloves!!!!

Ha - That was me! I went to throw a can away and saw the gloves sitting there in the can and thought "nice, some Slippery gloves, why would somebody throw them away?" I was gonna take em but then I saw a life jacket on the rail right there and figured they must have fallen off by mistake, so I...

    it just sank....

You will be fine, don't worry. I have sunken skis multiple times and done what you did, you basically just need to make sure to run it for 30 min or so like you did to get rid of any crankcase moisture!

how to troubleshoot a jet ski *101*

I believe the Piston Port motor (440 and 550 non-reed engines) recommend a richer mix - on the front by the gas cap it has the recommendations depending on weather, but I think 40:1 for normal temperatures is fine on a 440 - richer when it's cold out.

    Tearing down to crankshaft

I use 1211 on my rebuilds and have had great luck with it - also, I would suggest putting a bit of heat on the stator bolts and then using a drill on high torque/low speed setting with a wide flathead bit to get the stator bolts out - the 2 motors I rebuilt yesterday and today had those little...

Is this hole supposed to be there?

The white thing is a check valve that lets ambient air into the tank as you use fuel. The hole in the hose does not really matter, but you should take it off and cut the hose and then re zip tie it onto the nipple. The hose runs to a water separator and then runs up the pole - many people just...

    Superjet Ran Away

Yep, don't waste time pulling the plug wires, it won't do a damn thing. I almost poop my pants when it happened to me the first time - the plugs become red hot and diesel the motor, so opening the throttle dumps air in and will cool it down. Also plunging the primer will help. It is called a...
