So who all has been able to clear PV's with grinding the head pipe only. Paul L just clearanced my head pipe but no way is it clearing the rear PV adjuster cap...I have ground it down as far as I can go without going through....and this is with the thrust innovations spacer too!

Does it HAVE to be cut and welded?

maybe it is because the thrust innovation spacer is not as thick as the Dasa spacer. I just recently used one for my last 1000cc build and I did not have to cut into the head pipe to clear the rear PV but I did have to grind down the cap pretty flush

Why on Gods green earth would there be a thick and thin spacer out in the world? Was that a guess or you know that they are different?

I can't grind the adjuster cap screw flush to the PV cap because the adjuster cap sticks up so much more and is hollow.

Did you mean you just ground the red adjuster cap as far as you could? Because even then I am touching it. I ground it flush with the little depressions in the cap and any more than that and you go through it.

I used the Thrust spacer without breaking thru. I used carbon paper to mark where to grind. And I grinded the bolt boss on the pv to clear the manifold so that the PV could be removed without removing the manifold.

@WaterFreak How much thicker is the DASA spacer? I can't see it going thicker because the bottom of the header pipes hits the bottom of the manifold.

Matt, so you got a pv motor now? If so-give us some details on the motor. We have all read ALL the questions about a big motor, so which direction did you go?
