winter riding

Hey SFX......does that one feel like decent quality? Do you think it will go a few seasons?

Don't have anything to really compare it to, but after one season so far I can't see any signs of wear or fatigue. I took several high speed "hip bump" turns and leg drag turns and it's holding up to that abuse.

i ride as long as i have someone to ride with in the cold. slippery dry.its getting hard to find parts for them (i have 3 of them) gets to a point where is just not fun any more. or the boat ramp is frozen and i can get my ski in the water lol.

Bought one of these last year and it works great:

http://www.overtons.com/modperl/pro...&cname=Drysuits&aID=600I5&merchID=1009&r=view

Price was the best I've seen and I rode in snow/ice and usually sweated my a** off!

Thats a great price for a DSuit. How it is zipping up by yourself? (the only problem I have with rear entry suits.) My rear suit I ziptied a thick peice of leather to the zipper. The close my car door, so the leather would get cought in the door jam. Then body twist to zip it...LOL

I was out yestoday in Delaware river. Not to bad if you not fall in. Water about 50. I used 2mm full suit. I got scuba drysuit with rock boots so, technicaly, I can ride year round but you guys shoud see boaters looks at me and my friend riding at the river. You can read on their faces: what thay crazy or on the drugs ? For some reason I start to think same about myself after I see this kind of looks

I did the same thing....I went out Thursday on the Delaware out of Burlington. I wear my summer wet suit and it seems to be fine once your in. I cant find anybody else willing to head out with me.....plus my wife is gone and I dont really know anybody else that knows how to ride.

I just ride a bit more conservative and try not to take a dive into the water. Ive been contemplating if I really should winterize both the skis. I just have so much fun I cant bring myself to shut them down for the winter.

Something about hitting those wakes off the giant barges and tankers that travel down the river.

me 2 tour coast works nice dont it. 6-10s out there. got 360 around today with a role 1st time it did that. whoo whooo

I could not believe how big the surf was today. I have not looked at any of the reports in days, and was very surprised to see longperiod 5'-8' glass when we made it out the inlet.

Tour coat makes a 3/2 seem ALOT warmer. They are really good to keep you warm on the ride out when you wetsuit is still dry.
