post pics....i know you gotta be done because you werent at the beach this weekend

You could also know I was done by actually reading this thread and the posts where I talk about my riding impressions...LOL

I was at the beach all day Sunday. I ran the fourth and fifth tanks through at the daytona zone.

I like this setup more and more. It is totally broken in now, so I have been pushing it and riding it harder. This ski rips on flatwater or in the surf. It hooks up and pulls hard. It hooks up good, but you can unhook it also.

The throttle response is very linear and controllable, I can still ride waves with finesse with this motor. That said, jumping and reentrys can be a wild ride because of the way this engine pulls through the midrange. If you really grab the throttle, hold on tight as it will rip the bars right out of your hands.

Thanks Chris for being patient, as we (The whole shop) really had a lot of homework to get this engine package where we knew it could be exceptional.

I have run many, many tanks now. Still learning how to use all the power that this engine setup will deliver.

I think it is the ultimate surf motor. Starts like a stocker, idles like a stocker, handles gulps of saltwater well.... always starts back up quickly. Power is easily controllable in big waves as I discovered this weekend in the ginormous waves from hurricane bill.

Still smiling with every BRAPPPP! from this motor.

so does it have enough power for flatwater backflips in the superjet hull? I was looking into this motor. was thinking about going bigger but I forgot about the reliablity issue with the stroker motors. Would you have gone with another setup if you could do it all over again?

I don't have trim yet...maybe with trim. I think xscream's strokers have proven reliability. No, I am quite happy with this setup.

I am also going to put this engine in an all carbon hull eventually so then flat water backys will be possible fo sure.

Any updates? I got the feeling from your message the other day that this ski will quickly become the red hedded step child. :bigok:
