Not impressed with my RRP

I can relate. I bought my first Diablo hood and thought-hey, I'll go in the garage and have it on in 20minutes-LOL,LMAO,CUSSING AND THROWING THINGS(including the new hood)LOL

Nothing goes as it is supposed to on a jet ski. If the directions say 10 minutes-they mean 10 days. Pretend the directions are your wife talking. LOL

Seems like there's always something. I just bought a WCF hood today... hopefully it will go on with out too much trouble.

On a good note my carbs should be back Thursday from JJS :headbang: I was hoping to have it all back together by this weekend but I don't think that's going to happen.

call me or xmetal and we can get you the bushing that you seem to be missing . as far as the pole and bracket the for sure just misspacked you should get one threaded and one not . but there are some special technics to make installing this pole easier maybe when i get some time i will come up with a quick tips page for them . the spring thing is kind of an after thought issue . rick never used springs but others would like to so they they did it after the fact . the rrp steering and pole are top notch and so are xmetal parts but they each design there products to be used with there own products ,especially x i was told you must use there steering on the new pole . let me know if i can help you out in anyway

And I've grown tolerant of that provided I buy a low dollar or low quality part.

But the most expensive pole on the market? (Except maybe custom XFT poles)

That said: I would have tried working this out with the supplier or manufacturer faaaaaar before posting about on the Intarweb.

As far as the breather tubes go....I just went out to take another look and the pole sits a little lower but its still holding itself up in the air. I noticed that when I lift the pole all of the way up the breather tubes pulll up a little but they don't seem to slide back down.

I put some wieght on the pole..i'll go check it after a while maybe the tubes need to be broken in like a new pair of shoes :lmao:

I have the RRP pole and xmetal steering system on my 08. The bushing that comes with the standard xmetal kit isnt suppose to work with the RRP. Thats all u have to do is call xmetal and tell them u need the bushing to install their steering system on the RRP pole. Very simple. No need to buy a different turnplate.

It is aggravating to spend 2 days on it and it still quite aways from being done. I was hoping to have it done this weekend. I'm dying to try out all these shiny new parts I put on.
