why x metal? they are going to bend....:squint:

I am going back to my UMI straight bars. I put them through a ton of abuse and my UMI bars. Now, i am wondering why i ever went with the Xmetal. give me a minute and i'll measure. I want to say 24inches but i will confirm.

Dude, get those replaced!
Radney will hook you up.

Matt, you're prolly right. I should just call him tomorrow. radney is the man. I bought my wet jet intake off him before i even knew what this xmetal was all about. And from what i heard this is a common problem.

All i did was catch a little too much vertical in a nose stab. No bottom contact or anything.

homeade reverse angle 3 degree bars:haha:

you can buy 4' lengths of 7/8" OD seamless aluminum tubing, .120 wall, for ~$25 shipped to your door. (See ebay auction # 160283824175)

I cut mine to 26.5" which is definitely on the wide side.

It's the correct OD and fits ODI grips like a glove :)

.120 wall thickness? Seriously? That's thin, UMI freestyle bars are more like .250 and even then they still break sometimes.

here are the specs on Jeffs bars....I have a set of these I cant imagine them breaking..
I have bent a set of xmetals, and 2 UMI's....

Those are .120 wall. I'd personally do the $26 ebay route than the $260+:Banane13:

2024 (UNS A92024) drawn seamless tubing for superior strength tubular applications. 2024-T3 drawn tube conforms to Federal specification WW-T-700/3, Type 1 as well as ASTM B210.
6061 (UNS A96061) tubing and pipe, with approximately double the strength of 3003-H14, has widespread mechanical application. 6061 has good workability and corrosion resistance and is readily weldable by all methods. 6061-T6 drawn tube conforms to Federal specification WW-T-700/6, ASTM B210, and AMS 4082. 6061-T6 extruded seamless tube conforms to QQ-A-200/8, ASTM B221, and AMS 4150. 6061-T6 seamless pipe conforms to MIL-P-25995.
