X-Metal Bar Lenght

When I measured my Xmetal awhile back i got:
25" long , 3mm wall thickness and 22.30mm O.D(7/8").

Thanks everyone. I checked a local metal shop and they quoted me $30.00 plus tax on 12' of 7/8" solid round stock. Probably too heavy but then I can cut to whatever length I want. I will also check the e-bay auction. Was looking for something a little wider than the 25" bars (mine were 23" and felt way too short). Was thinking about 28" but my arms are long. Will also check locally for the .120 wall sizes. How does that stuff look (the aluminum tubing you get on the ebay auction)? Can you polish it or does it look ok the way it comes? Thanks again.

I just measured my UMI and they are 4mm wall thickness. No, not 1/4", but thicker than .120" and they still break sometimes.

If you got the grade I got (ebay seamless 6061-T6) it can be fully polished. I just hit it with one pass of metal polish and it looked awesome. It's also supposed to be a good grade for corrosion resistance.
Seems way-beefier than my stock bars.

they must be HEAVY though.......not a good place to put a bunch of weight..
