how do you tell yamaha to do so:brap:

the folks who migrated to standups from sitdowns think the FX is to small and squirely......... Alot of the people who started out on seapoos/etc seemed to gravitate to the larger/heavier/more stable platforms.
didn't scott watkins help design it for slalom races?
Well peeps were using that ski alone for their slalom times...
I think is like a 550 on steroids and very fun to ride. I would like to own one someday. They seem to be getting rare.
I think you sent me the wrong hull :fing02:yup..seems they are still out there, virtually NEVER modded (or a pipe at most)...
I have a mint hull that I have kicked around the idea of selling a few times....but it comes back to your original statement..
not to mention the one I have is 100% structurally perfect, and already reinforced etc etc..
One characteristic about the Fx1 is its stock hood design.......my Fx has been the driest boat I have ever owned...sometimes after a surfride the insdie of the bilge isnt even wet!

The FX1 has been rocking for a while now (4-5 months). I pulled the engine and electronics out of my '06 and dropped them into the FX1 along with a brand new bearing housing and motor mounts so as far as running gear goes its a 2006. The couple trouble spots on the hull have been doctored up but I may reinforce it over winter. I wanted ONE ski that would run excellent everytime I took it out and it delivers, but I can't ride it for sh*t....the girly friend loves it though. It is getting a kawasaki 140mm pump conversion this winter.lol..
hows the progress coming? (aside from the motor :sad6:

The hull handles very slippery, stock steering kind of sucks and the pump is not big enough to get the full potential out of the 701. All the cons can be changed to make one killer ski, just a little to small for my liking.
