:bigeyes2: I'm actually joining this thread...I just stepped on the scale, and I have broken 90lbs. :scared: That seems like a joke to most I know, but when you are only 4'10", it's weight for real.

So, lol, I did 5 situps and 5 leg raises day before yesterday...and now my tummy hurts today! Gotta start somewhere! :wiggle: Re-joining the gym I paid a year for and never went...going this week! :fingersx:

I've been holding steady at 220 (6'-3")(down from 236) but I'm exercising regularly and I'm in noticeably better condition (gettin a lot of comments lately). With a little added muscle mass, I'm in much better shape than the last time I weighted 220.

If I can take off another 5, or 10 at the most, pounds around my waist I'd be set.

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program. The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, "If you can catch me, you can have me." Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs. as promised. He calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program. The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, "If you catch me you can have me". Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape. Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 20 lbs. as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program "Are you sure?" asks the representative on the phone. "This is our most rigorous program." "Absolutely," he replies, "I haven't felt this good in years." The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, "If I catch you, your ass is mine." He lost 63 pounds that week.

This tends to be my fat time of year. I am a runner, I am conditioned and in shape...but not like a used to be. The bottom half of the six pack is fading, and i need to keep it all winter long bc A) i am still single and B) I have the most hideous scar on my stomach that stretches from the middle of my abs, around the bellybutton and then some. It hurts to stretch it as is...a gut would only make life hell.

On a positive note...I ran the 10th annual open race at the HS invitational on Sat. Did a 5k in 19:30 which isn't bad considering i hit 18 flat all season long my senior year. It is my goal to break into the 17s next year. (hint: that is less than 5:50 a mile)

My weight over the last year has been a roller coaster... weighed 205 at Christmas...right after getting laid off. then i battled cancer and drops to 160 by may. Now i am back up to 185 and i would like to be at 175. Time for some LSD runs and get into the gym (i haven't seen a gym since HS). Props to all you out there TRYING. I dated a girl who would run a half mile once a week and then complain when she ate a tub of frosting and gained weight.

I'm not out of shape, but im not in the shape I used to be. I totally have to start hitting the gym this winter or snowboarding is going to kick my ass. I just started riding stand ups too, this was when I realized how bad of shape I am really in. I started to feel tired after 30mins or so of constant riding.

well, I am out of shape, but because of our new schedule at home, I have found it harder sometimes to eat supper, granted our suppers use to be McD's, Wendy's, you get the point, we have been cooking a bit more.... but from just not eating all the junk I have gone from about 213 to 201 last time I weighed last week.

Nice man, now get serious about it and see what you can do.

174 to 175. shooting for 170, weigh in at work with clothes on. So that would put me at about 168, hope to be there in two weeks.
Finding the last few pounds are getting harder and harder.

weighed earlier, yup, 201

gonna start Mountain Biking again, was running late for a meeting at the hospital, messed up my ankles, dont run in redwing boots with thin socks, strained something (started the day with merrell shoes, changed to workboots but forgot to change to thicker socks), kinda painful.

gonna shoot for 190 by mid november.

When i started reading this thread i was 196 and felt like shi* now i am down over 21 lbs and feeling much better. Get the weight off before you get older and it will make it much easier to keep in shape. I should have taken this advice years ago.

I haven't really followed any of this, because I didn't have any real interest in losing weight.

I've spent the last month or so away from jetskis and trying to get my life sorted the F out. Part of that incidentally has included getting my ass back in shape.

I dropped 15 lbs in 14 days.....and cut out just about all of the bullsh*t in my diet. About 3 - 3 1/2 weeks later, the weight loss has plateaued around 20 lbs lighter. I'm about 5' 8" and went from 170-175 to now sitting around 150-155.

I've forfeit a bit of muscle mass, but that's easier to get back than it is to ditch the body fat. Ultimately, I feel SO much better than I did. The improved diet gives me more energy during the day, and I feel all around less lethargic.

Most will tell you that the speed at which I lost weight is unhealthy and that I'll just gain it back. But as an ex-wrestler, I'm back to being very in touch with they way I feel, and the kinds of things I eat. I'm easing my way back into normal eating habits, only with the RIGHT kinds of foods.
