Is there a feasable way I can remove the choke plates for a primer install without pulling the carbs?

Thanks.

sure. stuff rags in the carbs under the choke plates, whip out everyones favorite dremel and grind down the backside of the screws holding the plates to the bar, because they are peened or whatever. make sure u grind them all the way to the bare, unscrew them, undo the parts that hold the bar in and pull it all out. voila.

Pull them out, its simpler. And, you can grind one of the shafts in half so you don't have to split the assembly to pull it out. The only minor thing is I had to JB weld the brass in for the primer stuff.

So you people are probably wondering if the ski will start if you switch the fuel inlet and pulse lines . . . let me tell you it will not. :banghead:

yup, i have single pirmer kits for 20.00, duals for 25.00. ( + s&h).

htese are with the standard primer plunger. i could put one together with the smaller, flatter primer bulb too. ( but they don't move as much gas)

What is the benefit to the bulb? I've got part of a primer on my 750 but the plunger is missing.

The same is true for the X2, it will fire if you pour gas directly into the carb but then dies shortly after that.:dunno:

 GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!

I was just sitting here at work, minding my own business, wondering if an SX-R will start with those lines reversed.

WEIRD!!!

The benefit of the bulb is the lack of sharp edges you can get hurt on. I tried a bulb and wasn't impressed by its durability.
