haha you still didn't answer the question.:bs2:

I don't and wouldnt ride flatwater.... I would change sports first...
I am 1 part surfer and 1 part skier... remove either one and I'm done...

I don't say this because I think I'm superior, I say it cause flatwater is too much like work... way too much time involved for what you get out of it...

If I lived inland I would find something better to do...

I don't like flatwater... There is no rush for me, and I can't keep myself busy... I have no love for it at all...

I might wake board, ski, not sure...

I might race if I could only ride flatwater. Did I just say that??
Like Nick said, trying to freestyle off a 5 inch wave is alot like going to work for us spoiled riders that get surf.

i hear that... surfs where its at, talk about some crazy air :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

It's a f*cking a religous experience to be one w/ the ocean and be "in the groove"... Man, I swear sometimes I have goosebumps and chills. You just reach this state of being so in the moment that everything else is gone...

its the only time when I can be completely on-edge, but at the same time 100% relaxed...

the power of the ocean never ceases to amaze me

even though I have a large deep water river running behind my house with a dock, my friend and I drive 120+ miles for surf on a regular basis.
And yeah, its worth it.

I don't get the mod of taking out your Reserve. That is something I will never do. I hate running out of gas.

I get bored on flatwater too. The good thing is we have a ton of boats on Lake Erie to jump wakes behind the breakwall and get big waves 4-5 times a month and for most of the fall. I also hate wrenching on my ski. After doing the build-off, all I wanna do is ride it.

:skull2:

I like carving behind large barge waves but sorry to say I have never been in the ocean. I can see where that would be a blast. Like I said though, when I go to the river I ride pretty hard for about 20-30 minutes and focus on 1 specific trick. Typically I only burn about 1 gallon of gas  I think flatwater is definatly more like work sometimes b/c it is so technical that you really have to focus on what you are doing and how your are doing it before you can loosen up and have fun with it. When I ride with freinds, just out of habbit, you will see me drift off to a spot that is completly clam and just practice. If I had my boat completed at Lanier I would more than likley be the guy out there first thing in the mourning when the water is smooth............choppy water is like nails on a chalk board to me  My favorite time to ride is when the water is like glass. Completly oppostie of you surf guys. :haha:
