If it's a hip and my ankles aren't even what should I do?

Check to see if your legs are the same length, if they are not you need to see a Chiro. A great way to keep your hips/back/arms/legs/etc healthy between rides is to foam roll everyday, or at the least before and after riding. Youtube and google on how to do different areas.
Edit: when the high density roller stops working for you, go to the hardware store and get a pvc pipe.

PT trumps a Chiro in every way.
PT's can manipulate you the same way a Chiro can, the difference is they have the knowledge of why it's happening and not just got to adjust you.
See a good PT, listen to them and do the exercises they advise. If you prepare your body correctly you shouldn't be having issues in the first place.

Start standing with your front foot's toes facing the foward.. not pointed at the gunwale. Try that for a ride or two. Sounds like you are creating a lot of stress on your hip joints from the angles made at the waist

Thinking about it, I do my 180s almost exclusively counter clockwise with my feet side by side under the wedges. Force only one direction may have contributed.

Have an inversion table, foam roller and tennis ball. They don't seem to help much. Aleve and flexeril don't help much.

I agree with my stance putting too much pressure on my hip. I think it may be the opposite however. My front foot facing too much forward could be causing excessive lateral rotation on my leading leg. I say surf stance, but our surf sucks. I'm am usually racing when I'm on that position.

Definitely experiment with your stance and note the sensations in your hip because I'm afraid a chiro, pt, and a doctor are all going to tell you to stop riding...and we can't have that now.

Have someone grab your ueal and top of foot on the ankle that is closer to your body. Relax and have them do one quick jerk keeping the leg and body in line. You should feel a slight pop. And should fix the problem.

Disclaimer I am not a doctor of any sorts I just know a little bit about athletic injuries.

That's exactly what my chrio does to me.After releasing my back,he checks how my legs line up and then yank! immediately l feel better

When I added a wedge/ kick stand to tray, my beck and ankles are under smaller stress/load.
But I also try to squat or dead-lift once a week. It helps lower back muscles.

Saw the specialist and got some X-rays. The muscle pain and tightness are symptoms, not the problem. I'm going to have to work extra hard if I want to stay in the sport. Wider, padded tray with a kicker will hopefully help. I might have to move on to a SXR or B1 in the future.

Muscle pain and tightness are always symptoms of spine/hip misalignment. What's their diagnosis for you and what's their recommendation?

dont underestimate the tennis ball...for me that thing works wonders and I also believe extended periods of surf style riding can hurt lower back..combine that with driving a manual transmission frequently doesnt help

use 2 tennis balls..one on either side of the spine..and work your way until you can lay with all your weight on it..it'll take a few minutes for your body to relax

Idok, sounds like rolfing, try that with pool balls lol..Ive had a lot of lower back releif from rolfing,They have you just about crawling off the table while doing it,but afterwards I feel great
