hoodstraps???

The webbing is fairly cheap here too, but this was an even cheaper way to get it, and it was already the right length

Did notice (as was previously posted) that the straps do "stretch" quite a bit when they get wet

Hey guys i had a question and didnt want to start a new thread so ill ask it here:

i just got some blowsion straps, instal took a minute on my square, but the straps dont stay tight in the buckles...they adjust too easy and just pull out when you lift up on the hood...should i sew em together so they dont adjust? Anyone else have this problem?, will they stiffen up when they get wet??

thanks

You probably don't have them fed through the straps properly .
Mine stay tight but you do have to pull on the straps to tighten with the cold and warmth due to expansion and contraction

Hood straps

Did a search on this and didnt come up with anything. Has anybody made there own hoodstraps or is it even worth it over spending 29.00 at blowsion? Who sells the cheapest hoodstraps? I was thinking I might need some.

Hey! check out the picture gallery of X-h20, my buddy EJ w/the 800SXR have develop a single hood strap w/a stainless steel ratchet. I've been running it on my skii, and It has worked out well for me.

Attaching your hood strap to the hood latch defeats the whole purpose of it .
The only reason you would need a hood strap is if your hood latch fails or gets jarred loose in which case your hood straps will also come loose .
I just don't get it man :banghead:
you want something secondary to back up your hood latch and having your hood straps connected to it is stupid and pointless IMO

Edit ,I just noticed the latch is the strap .Nice idea
