I covered this already but I'm going to copy and paste it so that it's clear to those that just read this thread. I miss my BOB already. I honestly discussed the pros and cons of my BOBs all along:
BOB hull SOLD but 850cc ADA billet stroker motor $4000
BOB hull SOLD but 850cc ADA billet stroker motor $4000
Why I'm selling (skip to post #2 for ski details):
I know I better answer this question before I even get started listing the details of the ski. First of all, there is nothing wrong with this ski and I love it. The short answer is that I have found myself in the situation of having to decide between two awesome hulls.
When I had BOB #6 for sale I was offered the opportunity to buy a 61 pound vacuum bagged epoxy and carbon Superfreak for what I was selling the BOB hull for. The Superfreak needed a little work and Tem volunteered to check it all out and make any repairs it needed for an extremely reasonable price. After selling it and quite a few other things and settling up with Derrick I managed to make it happen with little out of pocket expense. I planned to switch out my wife's sn hull (AKA my backup/extra ski) with the BOB and to build up the Superfreak with the ADA motor. It was going to be an awesome pair of skis. I really thought my wife would go for it because of the little cost and the opportunity to get a nice, new, awesome ski for herself.
My wife doesn't share my enthusiasm for my brilliant plan and says she likes HER pink sn just fine and that one of my new hulls has to go to put some money in the bank.
So here I am forced to pick between the two. Which would you choose? 80 pound $4500 BOB or 62 pound $8000 Superfreak?
I regretfully choose to sell the BOB. This ski and Derrick and the Ski Clinic are all awesome. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for Derrick and everyone at the Ski Clinic. They have gone WAAAY out of their way to treat me right and I will never forget it. I enthusiastically recommend the Ski Clinic and the BOB hull to anyone wanting an awesome aftermarket hull on a budget, especially if they want to learn backflips. This hull put my riding skill progression on fast forward and it's fit and finish is awesome. This is the new hull design which I found to be stable at speed and to ride less nose high than my first BOB hull.
