xmw steering cable help

is your nozzle notched for increased throw? that can make a difference

So if you notch the nossel do you still cut the cable?????

I didn't.

I don't get all this cable cutting stuff.

I run the XMW straight bars, stock nozzle. The turn plate is on the middle hole, my nozzle is drilled to move the steering point closer to the nozzle, and the nozzle is cut to move enough.

Steering cable is stock and unmolested.

I see where he is coming from, I had to cut my cable and use an aftermarket steering stop when I put the XMW steering on my sons boat.

care to elaborate on the cutting part

I just removed the springy connector end on the pump end of cable and used a right angle air grinder to grind the threads down to where they needed to be about 3/8 of an inch. if using stock steering stop.

thats like when peeps cut brand new OEM hoodseals.......
