I also rode yesterday, the water temp was about the same,I also had every intention of staying out of the water, then I got the bright idea to check my W/O rpms with my handheld tach, count that mistake #1,to do this I rode the ski with the hood off, mistake #2 and yes I did know better,I did have enough sense to put the tach in a plastic bag and put a zip tie aroud the antenna.About 30 seconds later the laynard came off and since I had the tach in that hand I didn't have it attached to my wrist, mistake #3,laynard was lost and before I could get the ski restarted it nosedived gulped a huge amount of water and sank, mistake #4.Now its bobbing up and down like a cork and I am trying to swim it back to shore using my tach as a paddle, and that makes mistake #5.So about a minute ot so later a boat comes by and tows me in,so most of yesterday was spent drying out the ski and the tach, both work fine now. :grumble::censored::Thinkingof_:
