X2 Barrel roll

has anybody done a flatwater barrel roll on a mostly stock 650 x2. i have a stock 650 motor with 44mm carb, staright 15 prob, and mariner water box and am wondering if its even possible to do. ive tried a couple of times but it really doesnt have the snap. thanks

A pure flatwater roll I don't think is going to happen on a 650. If I remember right Pete was trying them with a complete mod motor and wasn't quite there.

Probably a lot more than a 701 or 750. He came pretty close to back to back backies in on of those vids

I've seen Dayton get pretty darn close. I've also seen him get close on a stock 650sx

It's been discussed, think it was decided it's gp800 based. There is an up-skirt video of it out there, definitely not 62t, or kawi.

With my 701 lightweight X-2, I landed on my head a few times trying on flat, but I didnt get more then slightly over 1/2way. (with the worst no talent assclown setup wake ever) I never sacked up and had the balls to try it when the surf was big enough. But someone with talent could have def flatwater rolled it. Stocker hull with a 650 is a tall order, but I am sure not completely impossible.

How would a shortened hull help with rolls?

IT DOES 2 THINGS HERE: it allows a more nose up stance for better pop on the launch, and also allows the modded steering to completely reach max pivot, over half of my thrust would be going into the side of the tunnel if it was not cut. my tunnel is also cut back to the seat latch for this as well.
