I was taking my pump loose so i could replace the trim cable that was rusted and broken through in a few places. Going to wrap the whole thing in 3/8 tubing this time around. Then i noticed that my trim ring was pointing down like it was a race trim vs. a freestyle one. It looks like the little button that is welded on the trim ring at 12 o'clock to keep the ring level is wearing through my nozzle. The button looks to be wearing as well. Maybe the vibration caused this? Is there a fix for this? Maybe weld a bump there and file it back down? epoxy a small washer or something to keep it from passing the nozzle? The new cable should be tight enough to keep if from pointing down for a little while but would rather fix it right.
