LOL - Let the guy know about it thru an e-mail, but don't give him a back feedback.

But that is neither here nor there. You held up your end of the deal by paying. You got your hood and its in the condition it was supposed to. He held up his end of the deal. There is no need for negative, IMO.

He may have done a crappy job packaging, but did it affect the hood? No. So leave him neutral and note that it was a crappy packaging job and it took forever. But he doesn't deserve a negative because you didn't like something that didn't affect anything in the end.

usps has to handle odd or irregular shape items by hand, hence the fee for it, i would tell you to send it back, how much did it cost you, that hood is off a ski with next to no hours, and on top of it it arrived in stated shape, for you to pound on it in the surf, i may be confused here but dont know what you are upset about

I think that regardless of the price of the item, unless the purchaser agrees to it before hand, the item should be packaged correctly. Would any of you want your custom hull only wrapped and then sent to you, not even in a crate or on a palate? I don't think so.

I neutral feedback is called for. Not negative.

I bought a 61x bottom end off ebay and the seller had 99% pos feedback, he shipped somewhat timeley and I got what I paid for, BUT, all he did was throw the bottom end in an oversized box and dump in the PEANUTS:banghead: . There was a trail of PEANUTS:banghead: from the road to my door where the UPS guy walked the package to the door and the bottom end was busten throught the bottom & side of the box. No damage to the part, but what a shiotty packaging job. So I state in a nuetrol feedback that it was poorly packaged and falling out of box but not damaged (LUCKILY) and that I got what I ordered timeley. The seller got seriously po'd and sent me 3 or 4 nasty emails saying what does it take to get good feedback as I got what I ordered at a price I agreed to pay and so forth and so on. I see it as I paid for propper packaging and shipping and did not get it. :rolleyes: :dunno: Maybe I am wrong. I left nuetrol feedback, not negative feedback so WTF.

i cant believe youre really asking neg or not. if it got to you its not broken this topic is useless. next it will be the guy at the gas staion almost scratched my window while cleaning it but he didnt should i call his boss.

He didn't almost ship it w/ no safeguards, he DID ship w/ no safeguards at all, not even a box... So in your eyes there was no wrong, since he was lucky??? That is a ridiculous argument. The guy is obvioulsy not up on proper shipping methods, or just doesn't care. Either way the shipper was in the wrong and deserves to be told about it...

you dont see anything wrong with sending a hood unboxed??..he might as well have just stuck a lable on it....im not even leaving any feed back so it dosnt matter...i just figured yu guys would get a kick out of how lazy this tool must be..i can only imagine what his boat looks like:rolleyes:

just pour some premix in there. gas hits the peanuts and they dissolve.
pour out premix and put it in your lawn mower.

is the hood broke no. i understand he didnt package right but who cares if its not broke. i had 3 handle poles shipped to me. guess what with no box.i didnt get on the internet and cry about my pole would have or could have or almost broe . because they got to me with no problems. if the hood was broke or beat the hell and back argue. you are buying 2nd hand parts from regular people not claiming to be a profesional. buy oem parts from dealer may cost you 10 times the price and come with a pretty little box.i just have better things to complain about real problems.

It's not unfair - its just stupid. What is unfair is leaving the guy negative feedback for holding up his end of the deal. If the auction stated, "it will be shipped in a box, full of packing peanuts" than the guy was misleading. But it arrived, in good shape, no harm done. Personally, I'd leave him positive feedback with the comment, "Poorly packaged, slow shipping, but item as advertised."

He held up his end of the deal. Why leave negative? I just don't get it.

I don't think he is crying about it - I think he just put it up for a laugh and/or a point of interest.
