Will a 650sx manifold and carb fit on an X2?

it will bolt right on, same engine. you may need to re-jet though

i assume you are talking about the 38mm??
and your x2 has a 28mm??

The real problem will be that the 650 SX stock keihin has the throttle cable pull down where an X2 has the throttle cable pull up.

You will have to use a 650 SX cable and route it so that it pulls down.

If I were you, I would find a 94/95 X2 carb which is a Keihin 40mm. Or spring for a manifold that accepts a Mikuni SBN 44/46 and go with that.

The carbs will bolt right on. You will have to modify the back f/a a little however, it's not that hard to do. I may still have some pics of the set up that I used to run.

I think that the dual 38's that I had pulled up? I had a bracket bolted onto my engine.

Yep, you'll need a SX throttle cable and SX motor mount cable bracket for a clean install. If you go this route, make sure you protect the extra long cable from the hull. It'll wear a hole right through your hull from normal vibration. I wrapped mine around the tank and covered it with 1/4" fuel line to act as a barrier between the hull and cable housing.

Good catch, I forgot about the throttle cable bracket. Also I had an X2 I bought and parted out and it did show signs of wear from a 650 SX throttle cable.

I kept the Keihin 42 from it and got lucky and found a Sato Engineering throttle drum fro ma guy on PWCToday that will make it a snap to use on an X2.

Snakem,

You must be meaning if he runs dual carbs. If he is only running a single Keihin, there will be no need to modify the flame arrestor.
