options:

lasik--very safe, I am not against it..

disposable CL's--good option, for riding 1 day lenses are king....a bit more expensive, but if you knew what was in the water we ride in...it makes you think differently about it..

Nike Maxsight--tinted lenses (like sunglasses)...very cool lenses if you are sun sensitive...and dont have alot of astigmatism

sea specs/goggles...I like the sea specs best..awesome customer service, will replace a lens if you lose it....these are not easy to make Rx..if you want Rx go with Oakely water jackets (same lens design, but rx ready)

Do they make a daily ware or 1 day contact for people with astigmatism?

yup..very possible....

when they make the cut...there is a circular scar left behind.....if the pupil dilates past the scar while say, driving at night....you will be left with glare problems......

Even with my great Engarish you got what i meant. Thanks I figure why chance it I see great with contacts and it is a roll of the dice with the burn.

Ya, I know. My mom, sister, aunt and cousin all have had it. They say the same thing. Maybe it's time to pony up.

I ride all fresh, plus have a mild stigmatism, so any water just running into my eyes dislodges one or both contacts.

Doing a search, I found these goggles made in austraila for surfers. Kinda spendy, but my mom works in optical an usually can get stuff cheaper. I'll have to check on them.

the lighter colored the iris...the more sun sensitivity.....

you should try the maxsights....

Do they come in a toric? I have a hard time finding contacts that fit my eye and work well with my RX. my eyes are not that bad, in fact they are a lot better then they used to be for some reason. my RX is half as strong as it was in High school. I could prob get away naked eye skiing if i really wanted to. But how would I know if the ( o Y o ) on shore are worth beaching for?

My contacts used to fall out allthe time when I played football. They would also shoot out when I was lifting. I had my doctor change the size and its been fine ever since. I have only lost one while riding but I constantly have to stop to get them to clear up.

I had very sensitive eyes to night blindness while driving and wearing either contacts or glasses prior to getting lasik done.

After the lasik operation, I have had no problems with night blindness at all!

I would highly recommend it....:woot:

They did custom Lasik for me. They dilated my pupils to see where the cut needed to be. My pupils I guess get pretty large. I have no glare or halos at night.

I wear 30 day-ers and I have only lost like 2 in 10 years of riding. Sometimes they slip out of place and a blink or 2 later and all is well. I don't think I could ride with anything over my eyes. I don't even like wearing goggles on my 4 wheeler. I just take a bottle of solution everywhere and power wash my eyeballs when need be.

i've been wearing contacts for at least 20 plus years. i ride almost exclusively in the ocean, i found a pair of sunglasses at a motorcycle shop that have a adjustable strap, three different lenses, yellow smoke and clear. also have perforated foam around the inside of the frame. these things work great to help with eye protection against the spray. i have yet to loose them and if i know i'm gonna do a sub i'll pull them down around my neck so they don't come off. luckily i have never lost either.. now watch this weekend........:banghead:
