what to use for shaving fuel filler

I am planning to shave my fuel filler. What do you guys use? Fill it with West Systems/404? Or.... glass from back, foam and shape, and then lay cloth on outside?

One time I had a bilge fitting I removed....I glassed from the back and then used filler from the front side. Over time it cracked and I had a nice circle in my paint.
I don't want that to happen here.

I am thinking of laying a sheet of carbon on mine. It was done nicely when i bought it, but now it is all cracked up.

Damn i am jealous. My ski is still apart in the garage. I need to go up to GR and pick up a bunch of parts from kyle and get my 701 running. We should plan to ride a few more times in Nov, and even december. I have just been so busy with my grandfather's funeral and school presentations. I should have it running in the next week.

Trust me....I have debated this. I have a square nose now that I have a solid nose piece on so I had to do the under hood filler.
On my RN I have debated it. I like the clean look and I rarely fill my ski without pulling the hood off anyway.
Don't know....still might not bother with it.

Justin, we rode at Port Sheldon Sunday. What hood did you decide to order??

Jeff, sorry to hear about your Grandpa. My feet were pretty friggin cold yesterday......don't know how many more weekends I will be out there. Next weekend is a high of 42.....Might be doable yet.

i think im gonna order the xft i didnt know if i would like it with the air intakes
sticking out so far into the tray cause some guys say they hit there shins on them but i rode Geeks on sat. and was no prob with them so i think thats the one im gonna order
