Want to get some opinions here... give me a little feedback incase I am forgetting something... All of the information about my X2 is in my build thread in my sig.
This is my "to do" list when my X2 goes back together in another week or so... Completed tasks are italicized.
Driveline
- Install bearing housing
- Install reconditioned pump from Scott at Exactal Tool
- Install 10/18 pump which scott was nice enought o check the clearances on
- I want to shorten a tail cone with some JB weld and a grinder (but this is a mod that can wait)
Hull
- I'm going to cut 1" off the back. (I don't want to go more because the turf is new. If I weaken the hull and have to glass, I'm going to be unhappy)
- I'm going to trim the rails in the back down a bit because there's no reason for them to protude out
- Install a set of the new SkiShopRules.com custom X2 sponsons
- move exhaust outlet to the front to clear sponsons
- I want to put on a fiberglass ride plate that is shortened and maybe D-Cut (but this is a mod that is easily added later)
Powerplant
- I need to figure out how to get the Factory 750 limited pipe to fit (I'll probably use a westcoat manifold and a custom bracket)
- which reminds me, I need to buy a vibration dampener for the mounting bracket..
- Replace my nameless waterbox with a stock X2 waterbox (stock SX waterbox holds less water than the box that was in my X2, but SX box wont fit) or let Tom build a custom waterbox for me.
- replace heavy rubber mounts for waterbox with something lighter
- Going to stick with my current carb set up so I'll just dial it in
- Do something more with flow restrictors or splitter or waterever it takes to clean up the bottom end, it just holds too much water and kills the power (I have a feeling the larger exhaust pipe might resolve some of this problem too)
Electronics
- Going to order a R&D timing advancement plate for the 750 electronics
- Going to have Tom lighten my stock flywheel
- I'd like to pull apart my E-box and make sure everything is properly sealed, no loose wires that could short and ETC.
The goal is to clean up my problems and tweek out the ski all at the same time.
Parts list Parts in my possession are Italicized
Factory pipe
Bearing housing
Reconditioned pump
10/18 prop
Exhaust outlet
Lightened flywheel
R&D timing advancement plate
Sponsons
stock waterbox
Flow restrictors
Vibration dampener for pipe
Will need exhaust tubing and wiring as appropiate, but not on checklist because I'm not sure what I need.
