?I am thinking of using my snowboard goggles. they are oakley. I need something to keep the water out of my eyes in the surf. When you come up on a wave that is red with sand and it blast through to the back of your skull. What do you use?

Jeff, I never use goggles for freeride. I wore them when I raced, but hated them.
I find in Lake michigan riding this time of year they fog up big time due to the really cold water.

I have seen people where them on lake michigan. I was just curious bc when the waves are coming in strong the wind usually is too, and sometimes it can get hard to see. But i really don't see a need for them, just thought i would stir a bit of discussion on the topic. To each their own, but i can unsderstand the fogging is a good reason not to bother.

i've been using a pair of motorcycle riding sunglasses, they came with a strap, and have changeable lenses, clear, amber, and smoke. the amber seems to work the best. i put a little rain x on them and they work great in the ocean. they cost me about 20.00 at the local m/c shop.
