Dale's Jet Sports Bad Attitude Handle Pole for my Sxi-PRO.

Pros - Cons. I'd like to find a used one. Let me know your thoughts.

Can I use all the original hardware..., just swap out my AC pole with no additional parts or mods?

Thx.

i had one, it was alright but the plastics around the chin pad was getting busted up pretty bad everytimes i had to open it, aside from that i was pretty happy with it on my sx and was built much better then some of the other poles ive had..

I had one on an SXR I bought...personally I thought it was ugly on the ski.

The lower section plastic cracks very easily and breaks off...costing around $50 to replace I believe.

It also looked sort of weird being so skinny. It didn't fill the pole channel thats for sure(which is why it looked weird).

i think it looks alot better than the one on the sxi right now.... and they look a hell of alot better than a stock sxr pole....but then again every pole looks better than the sxr stocker

I agree, but an Xmetal, RRP or even stock superjet pole would look way better IMO.

My AC looks bad, and seems like it's always in my way. I'd like something definitely more slim and a bit shorter. The side view vertical distance from the handlebars to the top if the chin pad is huge.

A round nose SJ pole would work? Probably gotta get all new hardware too? What's the advanages of the SJ pole?

RRP and Xmetal are bug bucks new, I'm sure used prices are up there.

Those poles feel super light. A guy here has one on an SXR and I love it. Make sure you use a limiting rope though. He beats it to :):):):) and it keeps on tickin'.

I think they are the only pole besides the AC that uses Kawi hardware...

A -2 Superjet pole is a big improvement on steering...if you wanna go cheaper, the SJ AC's look pretty good on a kawi or even a stock SJ pole.

What other parts or additional cost would be involve to go the SJ pole route. I'm guessing that all my Kawi parts may need replacing or maybe even modifing. Please go into detail.

Its all personal preference, I think that pole is ugly also due to its small size and prefer the beefier looking polished A/C pole you have now. There's a guy on here (Don t/a) who has one on his SXR. He loves his, if he doesn't chime in PM him for his advice.

I'd like to find a -2 Dales Bad Attitude.

The look of my AC just seems too bucky and seems like a camel's hump that I have to climb over to get to the hood and such (check out the signature pic below). I like the slim look of the Dales, I believe they are lighter and quite strong too. Wouldn't mind giving it a try.

Anyone have some good pics of it on?

I do not think it is the best looking pole, but the one on my sisters ski is very nice. I do not know how anyone can break the plastics unless you don't take care of your stuff or you just plain beat on it.

To convert to any SJ pole, you will need to buy a SJ/kawi conversion turn plate, umi sealed bearing system, and a superjet chinpad if it does not have one on the pole. Also, you need bushings and a steering cable bracket. This goes for RRP/XMW/UMI/AC sj/and stock SJ. Stock Sj requires some cutting and welding of the top bracket...not worth the hassle in my opinion. I tried it.

I also believe X Metal offers a steering kit but I do not really pay attn to their line of stuff.

Best bang for your buck is Dales or XMW. Personally I would go with the dales, since your stuff all bolts right up. SJ style steering feels a bit more "loose" as opposed to kawi style...but you wont understand what I mean til you get on and ride both.

Hope that helps.

Yes, good info, it does help, thanks. The Dales is a unique look that is pretty cool to me, especially if it's strong and light. I hadn't heard anything negative, besides some guys not liking how it looks. Plus it's an easy replacement. I hope to find a good, used, -2 Bad Attitude since the new price is high for me.
