Waterdawg up to his old tricks

If you base it off his past from 3 years ago up to October 2006 then yes.... But, from October to current Jeff has made a 180 turn.. He has been shipping out parts right and left. I know of two guys that ordered hoods and both got them in about 1-2 weeks after order was placed, plus numerous footholds. One kid ordered an XJet hull in November, If I am not mistaken it was delivered to him in Daytona... And the kid that posted the first here did recieve his hood. but it would not clear his dry pipe....... that is normal, hell, with a stock hood you have to cut some of them or heat up the plastic liner and indent it to clear the top of the pipe. Did this guy tell Jeff "hey, I am running a dry pipe?" (Cant remember that part of the post). Who knows.. Honestly, I wish everytime someone had a problem with Blowsion, 24/7, Wamiltons, Watercraft Factory or XFT that they woudl come here and post. I think you would be suprised at how many mistakes are made.

careful what you wish for, harrison!

I met alot of you guys in daytona, but I learned the hard way. Flaky would have to be the best word for jeff. Just trying to get my ski done. Just going have to buy from another company now.

depending on what kind of riding you want to do....... if all you are going to do is freeride in the surf, the Blowsion Joe Kenny Hood is very durable, but I found that it did not work for me for flatwater freestyle (Hood tricks). If you are into flatwater you could not go wrong with a Wammer Hood or the hood that Legdrag.com is going to be selling. I have not personally used the WCF hood but know some people who do compete on the WCF hood for flatwater FS. The 24/7 Hood is the standard that all other hoods are measured by whether it be flatwater or freeride, but I cannot speak for any hood coming out of 24/7 now that it is under new ownership.... would have to be a long time with lots of R&D Testing to see how it going to hold up. Same goes for the WD hood, I have not used it, personally the handholds do not look like there was much thought put into the design of them or the locations of the handholds.

The Blowsion hood is great for both flatwater and surf. The Blowsion hood is very durable and great for both! If you are doing hood tricks there is nothing wrong with the any of the hoods mentioned above. Of course, Hood tricks are for chicks.

guess you have never leap frogged up on the hood and reached down and grabed the handhold, where the crease is that runs half way down the handhold (scalleped part of the hood) it is really painfull. Also the shape of the hood throws the center of gravity off, it more pointed up at the top vs the flatter profile of a Wammer or 24/7. Besides that, that hood is built like a brick.........

I didn't read all of this thread but after meeting Jeff in person I would not even hesitate to buy something off of him. SUPER NICE GUY! SUPER busy guy too. He has dedicated his life to this crap and it shows.

I have a feeling he is about to be even more slammed with work so I would just have to say be patient and be prepared to wait. Every single thing he makes is a custom work of art.

Completely disagree. Talked to him for hours and he is 100% normal except for the fact that he has given up his life to create his company. He doesn't party at all! He just walks around talking to anyone and everyone about this sport with the enthusiasm of a 13 year old kid in a freeride candy store.

I saw the rev-12 and an x-jet hull he delivered this weekend. they were both great looking hulls. that billet 1200 motor he had there was very impressive also. Jeff had no problems talking to anyone. I was impressed.

Jeff was awesome.....

sucks you guys didnt get your parts right away guys, but if you think about it Jeff was on the other side of the country with the hull he donated to the ride and answering question after question, helping people fix boats, and giving awesome tech support......

I sure everything will get worked out as soon as he gets back to the shop....

Dude, this guy has been slammed helping this sport the last few months buy building and giving one of the tightest hull set ups I have seen away at DAYTONA this w/e. He will hook you up when he gets back in and settled, he was in Daytona for the last week.

I met Jeff for the first time and he was really laid back. I saw the x-jet, REV, 1200 motor, diablo hood kits ect and they were all top notch. Allot of his bad rep is undeserved IMHO. I talked to some guys in Daytona that told me how long it took to get a motor built or parts from other places yet Waterdawg seem to be the one that gets dumped on. Bad experiences elsewhere don't seem to get the press he does. To me his stuff is worth the wait, I know the quality will be there when it is done.

I first met Jeff in Havasu and saw the blue REV hull there. At that time, I was still skeptical about him mainly because of the shipping issues. I rode Luke's X-Jet in Texas last year and was impressed with the hull overall. Jeff has made a HUGE turnaround concerning people receiving their items AND receiving them in a timely fashion, as well. The Daytona giveaway was UNREAL to me and something like that was almost necessary in order for him to salvage his reputation---he went over the top with the hull giveaway, IMO.

The billet 1200 engine was BADASS the REV hull was BADASS. Jeff---if you're reading this, do me ONE favor, though---change that damn exhaust to aluminum for the "what if?" factor. :sneaky:

You've proven your capabilities as a builder and your business operations are getting MUCH better---quit wasting all that ABS pipe and save that for us plumbers. :haha:

What a work of art man! I actually held a cylinder and head in my hand and the detail/design is simply amazing. A friggin' 1200cc 2 stroke 2 cylinder is a as badazz as it may ever get in a stand up!!

That is until he unveils his 1380!!!!!!:sneaky:

They fixed it quick but it is a non-issue on baots w/ waterboxes. He will do whatever the customer wants. I ordered my x-jet with the aluminum tubing. I am achually surprised that ramjet did not melt th silicone hose as well. His motor got really hot

No doubt in my mind that it was repaired in less than 30 minutes---from what I heard the "meltdown" was close to the "firewall"---my point is (and always was) the fact that you may have to open up the tray to repair damages incurred from a blown or clogged cooling line.

Jeff should make this a learning experience and refuse to install plastic exhaust tubing in the future. With everything else he does being top-notch work, he shouldn't have to scrimp on the details. His customers will appreciate it.

i do agree with this point though....waterbox + wetpipe would be fine......

I think jeff said that ramjets motor got up to like 1100 degrees or something like that? (now, that # may be off...but I remember thinking " "
