I used to have a Jetcraft Turbomuff on both my 750SXi and 550, always loved the sound/performance from them. Jetcraft never made a SJ model but I always wanted one.

I got one earlier this spring and finally got around to putting it in. Good thing too, as it turns out my oem waterbox had one of the internal baffle tubes come off and wedge under the inlet pipe blocking it off partially.

Today was the first ride with it and here is the video. Riverrat is in the white rash guard, I'm the last section.

I freaking love it, just like my old skis. It's mellow, but brappy, and quiet unlike a X-metal box. If only Bogart would make his box like the Jetcraft...

Oh, I also dropped 13lbs off the ski during this. The Turbomuff weighs 1.7lbs and the new 4LB-S battery weighs like 3.8, for a total loss of 13lbs off the ski. My waterbox was messed up and I needed a new battery anyway, plus the small battery was cheaper too.

Polaris graphics story:

I was sponsored by a Polaris dealer, and the Octane was not out yet. I painted the ski so I went with Polaris Pro 785 colors along with the oem graphics off a 99 SLX I think. Dealer cost on those was only like $30 total for all 6. The Octane pics were released later that summer and I was pretty close, except it had a black pole and white bottom.

I've just never taken the graphics off because they are oem and pretty much permanent unless I get a rubber wheel which costs $20. I'd rather put the $20 to gas money.

Thought someone else might be wondering.

The owner of Jetcraft Engineering died in the late 90's, so no. I really wish someone would start building them again.

Sounds just like my ski.... After you start loosing your hearing from HOW LOUD MINE IS..........

Do you still have the front exhaust?

No front exhaust, and this is not loud at all, trust me.

Are you sure that's an original Turbomuff?

Isn't Hunter/FreestyleRiverRat a WDK dealer?

What's really going on, product testing? :sneaky:

At least it's already installed and you're not waiting for it to ship, eh? :haha:

I did ride again yesterday, dried out the stinger a little and got some more revs out of it. Very nice, very nice.
