This lady is backing the Suburban with 25' boat on the trailer down the ramp. Her husband is on the boat, telling her every single thing to do, "turn the wheel right", "back up, stop", "straighten the wheel", etc etc. 10 minutes later, it's in, she pulls out to park. Later, she walks down right beside me, looks at the boat, and says "Now how am I supposed to get on the damn boat?" I turned around and said "There's a dock right over there" and pointed at the dock.

Some people just shouldn't be on the water...

Well atleast they got their stuff in the water....I teach my girly to back down the skis, launch and aprk on her own incase i ever need her too(me being hurt/knocked out/etc) I'm sure it takes her a little longer then usual but I make sure the ramp is dead before letting her go.

The people at the ramp that piss me off are the "No Go Peeps" as i call them. They are the ones who park at the top of the ramp or put the boat in before unpacking EVERYTHING!!!! Or pull up to the top of ramp to unpack/pull plugs/etc. I'll usually let me temper get the best of me and confront them as nice as possible.

Me and Morgan get changed into our suits and boots and stuff if there is no one around, but im very generous in giving people as much space as possible and strapping and blowing out the ski in a parking slot not the ramp

Saw a guy at the ramp today put his boat on the ground..... No matter how many times you see that it never gets old...

But I went over and helped push it back up onto the trailer just because no one else would... What a bunch of dicks... Then the guy made his kids drive the boat away and he took off and went somewhere (must have had a home on the lake) and the had the trim all the way up, then backed into the shore, got it stuck again, then never lowered the trim, and tried to take off... FUNNY FUNNY STUFF!

Ohh also the dumb asses with the minivans trying to pull out the big boats, and as the front tires are spinning they stand on the rear bumber (yeah that should help ya...) I kept yelling for them to stand on the front, but never figured it out.... they put the boat back in the water and never pulled out, just made the boating day longer...

I usually see this a couple times a season..........a guy has his nice new truck backed in with his trailer way down in the water, so far that you can barley even see it. As he or his buddy is lining up to load the boat they almost completly miss the bunks and have the boat inbetween one bunk and the fender  You can see their brain "working" and they know something is not right.........so naturally instead of backing up and giving it anouther try, they give it more gas and ride it up even further on the trailer. As the boat is now lopsided on the trialer you hear one of them say "I don't think your lined up........" The best is when they start pulling out with it that way. Mind boggling..........entertaining none the less.

last year while trying to start my ski right next to a ramp i had the pleasure of watching a boat slide off the trailer 15ft from the water. the guy unstrapped his boat before he started backing down the ramp, which is pretty steep. so while he is backing down i decided to move out of the way so he could launch his boat, well he must not have seen me and when he did he slamed on his brakes and off came the boat. the guy jumps out of his truck and starts yelling at me and telling me that its all my fault and he's calling the cops on me and ******** like that. well me being a wise ass a lot of the time i calmly told hid to go ahead and call the cops because they would arrest him for being an idiot. well that comment diddn't go over to well and he started yelling at me agian. so at this point i'm bored so i just started my ski and took off. making sure i rode past the ramp and waving at the guy while he tried to load his boat back onto the trailer.

Hey Darin don't forget about that kayaker we ran into on the ramp last year...............the one that just had to pull his boat in that one specific spot on a huge ramp that was completly empy except for Macks Jeep. I remember you saying that he was a cool guy when you talked to him later but.........he was in need of an a$$ woopin that day.

I saw the same thing happen here in Lake Union, but the people just slid it into the water and went boating like nothing happened! It even ground the crap out of his skeg on the outboard.

I saw his point, he just came off the wrong way at first. Ended up he builds his own cockpits out of composites/etc.

Moondance

Just plain me....
Too many stories to tell... but my favorite that I seem to encounter on a regular basis are the drunken redneck mothers who let their kids play & swim on the ramp. You are trying to do your thing & you ask POLITELY if she could move her kids so you can use the ramp. Then you get cussed out for whatever reason. I even had one try to come into the truck after me one time. Surprisingly enough I kept my Irish temper pretty much in check because I knew she was so wasted on whatever that she didn't have a clue as to what she was doing. Her husband finally pushed her into their van. What made that so funny was watching her roll from the front to the back as he quickly sped off the ramp.

It doesn't matter where you are located.....idiot/redneck boater season is officially open:haha:

Last year we had some people come back off the lake with a brand new boat. "This thing isn't as fast as it was when we test drove it", they said.

The TRAILER was still attached to the boat!!!

dumbass.

I saw a guy backing his boat down a steep grassy ramp at low tide and lost traction and the whole boat, trailer and car went floating down the inner coastal waterway.
