I figure I buy girl scout cookies,wraping paper etc from these guys at work they can handle a couple bucks.

If we all have something going on at local lakes and oceans with local coverage who knows what will happen.

that is a good idea, someone should contact the promoters in region 7, 5, and 2 and see if they can make it part of a sanctioned event, i would be down for that as endurance racing aka a skiathon is what got me into this sport, i would gladly fly in to any of these regions and ride until there is only one person left

Let me know when it happens... I am pretty good at getting News coverage. Just let me know the cities, riding locations, times and dates and I'll volunteer to contact all the local TV and Radio stations in those areas. If they like the story, they'll run it nationally. If not, local coverage will help too. Local stations often put up paypal accounts for donations.

I'll also sponsor a rider. Not sure who yet..:sneaky: We definately can't ride up here this time of year, Its 14 degrees out.

I am so down with this....
On a good Summer day In NJ... I have been know to throw a good 50+ backs in a day... I am sure for this cause... I will try and double anyones score on the boards.... I could probly do about 200... might have trouble walking... but I would do it for joe in a heart beat...(I have looked up to him from day one) I could get some sponsor Backing....
Please let me know when and where for this ! I am game....
My wife an I are also going to send some $$ out his way when we know when and where... :biggthumpup:

Wow, you guys have some great ideas! I can't do much in my landlocked frozen over lakes and rivers right now... But no one said it had to be done in one month... maybe an JK tour is needed? and you guys can make it up to the midwest sometime late spring/ early summer?


I don't have a lot of cash, and I would like to help out, so if I can be a flyer boy or something like that, just let me know how I can help... I do have a working phone and can make calls to local news people and see if they will cover an out of state thing... (I don't see why not, its not like they ever have any good news any how)

What about a JK video? Anyone have something maybe they've made, or could make to spotlight JK? Then at the end/middle/start or where ever, maybe even a few times, put up something that says what has happend, and how to help, with a URL address to x-h2o, or somewhere they can read more, and then that page could have a link to donate to the JK fund...

I've got no film, I've got no pictures, and I've got no editing skills at this time. BUT I just have another way to get this to the public... Public access. I have another thread about public access, and it has this post in there too... But I think its a good idea, and its easy for ANYONE to do, you just have to stop off at the local public access place, drop off a disk/VHS what ever and say, can you play this please... and then they play it... Its all free, and its so easy.... anyone want to help me, help the cause? If you have pictures you've took, video you've shot, or if you know how to edit half assed ok... We can make a small project maybe? My idea for this video would be to pass out to everyone, youtube/google too and then if people wanted to public access it, we have a high res version for that... What do ya guys think?

ANd not to hijack this thread anymore, please PM me or post in my other thread....

I'm sure chris could throw together a nice littl video to send to news stations and such to expose who he was. Wouldnt take chris long with his speed and mexico coverage

Chris has been a great guy and always seems to be willing to help out. If he could find the time to do this, that would be great. He has always gone above and beyond in my eyes...

Yeah maybe a short little clip for news, and maybe a longer clip (like 1/4hr, 1/2hr, 3/4hr, 1hr) for public access needs... I'll leave it up to him or anyone else of what they want to do... But we can get as much time as needed on public access, so don't feel like you need too much cutting/editing...

This thing is going to work :hail: We need to come up with some locations, dates, peoples, etc. then get some sponsors for each person. I suppose the locations could be on lakes as well, once it warms up for you frozen folks. Joe is the man, shouldn't be too much for each of us to work a little to help get him back on his feet :biggthumpup:

i was actually thinking about this earlier today...i'm not quite sure how i would want to do this if i did and, to be honest, lonnie would have better footage of joe than i do...but im down if it comes to that...
