Well Idok may have a really valid point. I have upper respiratory problems and noticed things when I was exposed to both hotels via hanging out with different people (and as mentioned, I’ve already had all the crud going around down here).

Enough illnesses with our party warrant the management company being notified honestly. There are many “residents” in those establishments actually. They could be suffering all the time, if it is the case (as with anyone whom visits); a situation to be approached delicately (by an organizer) since they are a sponsor via discounts of course. They have 20+ hotels on the strip there (the Plaza being one of them…they cater to everyone actually), so they could always divert people temporarily during the off season to remedy the situation if needed without much hardship. They have been great to everyone of course.

Has anyone actually gone to a doctor?

All three of us in our room woke up with throat/respiratory stuff the first morning, I could barely speak in the morning my throat hurt so bad. A few hours on the beach and I was fine again till the next morning. The congestion continued till this weekend.

you shoulda smelled my room at the driftwood....i was looking for a dead body in there

as soon as we opened the door the wife took out every perfume bottle she could find, and even that didn't kill the odor

LMFAO!!! That there is funny as hell! Our first room was very moldly smelling and the size of a walk in closet.....got a better one with kitchen and a little home cooking brought on a way better lingering smell....lol:lmao:

No kidding. I can't believe the freaking seriousness this thread has taken. I guess some people need to live in their environmentally controlled plastic bubble. Germ-a-phobs

hey jerry started it, I haven't complained at all until everyone else started

come to think of it, I'm getting kinda excited about next January's plague, bring it on Driftwood, give me the best you got : )

Wow I thought it was something else. We got home monday night, tuesday night woke up shiverring ended up going to the hospital. Doc chalked it up to just being run down from vacation. Spent the next 3 days in bed sweating 1 minute freezing the next. Feeling okay finally now didnt start to feel close to normal til sunday. We stayed at aqua terrace what a dump.

I feel great, but we live in the NW mold farm and are use to it, are bugs probably just attack the pesky Atlantic variety.

If it was enviromental, I would be dead... We spend 10 days in the Driftwood and were in the water everyday. No problems here.

NOW IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THE DEATH BUGS WE SAW IN THE DRIFTWOOD, thats a whole different story.

What floor? I walked on the sand in bare feet all weekend to the point that my skin was literally flaking off.

Same here, i went no shoes a few times to the gas station for gas/food. Shoeless most of the weekend unless i was riding. I did lots of stupid things that i should be sick from, sharing booze containers, passing things:439:, shaking hands, making out with random Florida girl at chaps, sleeping on the dirty floor most of the weekend, and a random mattress another night, the list continues. But is somehow managed to stay near 100% after i got back. I think i only washed my hand to get the grease off. that includes my unexpected airplane flight home. Guess you guys just need to toughen up a bit before you come down next year.

vitamin c is your friend, next year i will bring a bunch since my dad works at a company that makes over teh counter drugs for walmart, we have a stockpile of all sorts of otc meds. so if anyone wants to trade parts for nyquil or other stuff let me know.

since home i have been having bloody noses three times in the past few days. I never had them before, maybe once back in the day when wrestling. I kept the fingers out of the nose after teh first one. But still i got them randomly as hell. damn dry air, i borrowed a humidifier from someone at work and haven't had one since. but it must be my bodies way of rebelling against the change from FL to cold arse MI
