Watch the video (1:14)and see the surfer who slides down the face of the wave on his back and then has the lip help him clear his nassle passages.Those lifegaurds have there hands full with those barney's in the water.

I was at the wedge one hour after the guy died. There were close to 500 people on shore watching body surfers. Absolutely insane this weekend. I went body surfing about 100 yards away at a surf spot known as "cylinders". The waves there went over the pier, through the beach and in the street. Impossible to ride a jet ski, the wave breaks on the shore.
