Other Synthetic oil engine break in ?

What happened to running pennzoil full synthetic ? Don't like twice the cost ? "Oil is cheaper than motors" says Phil Clemmons. Makes sense...

LOL, for every dollar I save on oil I can knock off about 2 engine hours right?

This is at the same place. Just was walking through and seen this stuff for sale. I have 6 gallon's already. Should be good for about 240 gallons of gas at a 40/1 ratio. Should be 1028.96 for gas and oil together... That if pump premium stays at 4.00 a gallon. LOL

But if you read further about it they manufacturer the engine for that process.

There's no such thing as zero wear oil so think about it...it will break in eventually on synthetic....maybe delayed.

I know this was already kinda debated, but I just got my cylinders back from being bored at php, and zack said it's fine to break a ski in with the same oil and ratio that I'm using originally. Which is amsoil dominator(a synthetic), and a 40 to 1 ratio mix.

Do it... my last rebuild was 13oz of interseptor to 5 gallons of fuel... just like I always run... right in the ballpark of 40:1...

13 oz oil to 5 gallons gas = 50:1

11.49 a gallon for this stuff that I have been paying.

They now have this down to 8.99 a gallon. I have 13 gallons and counting....

That's a sick price ! I've been paying almost 5 times that much for K2. Lol never thought this thread would go 4 pages.

I ended up using yamalube and 50/50 avgas for first tank then K2 and 93 for 900R.
