How tough is it to ride 3 to 5 footers? I'm thinking of bringing my friend from MN on Saturday, but he's only ridden my superjet once on the lake. It was a full 8 hour day of riding, but it was on a small lake. With waves that big, I'm wondering how I'll fair on my fx-1 without tubbies.

If you have the time just... GO ! those waves are not Guarenteed ,just probable and much hoped for , you will learn something out there you wont get on flat water ,,, seee ya there, to answer the other question ,wetsuits are not needed but if it gets cloudy with a cool breeze and NICE WAVES you may wish you had a wetsuit top ! expecially early in the morning !

Tubbies are not required for riding in surf. Go and have fun!

Is anyone bringing their dog? I've got a 3.5 month old austrailian shepherd pup that will be with the gf and I. Oh, and is anyone bringing pitbikes? I have a little xr50 I can putt around on if anyone else plans on brinign theirs.

I would leave the pit bike at home ... Dont think that it will be appreciated by the the camp ground host who is on site 24/7 ! this is a family campground and family type beach not Pismo / really need to tread LIGHTLY !.... There was already controversy about all the skis taking over the beach !!.....we are probably lucky to assemble there in such a large group ...focus on the waves and keep all b@@ze under tight wraps, dont damage anything or pi$$ anybody off ....it will still be fun !!!!!

Pitbikes are not allowed at the campground.
Dogs must be on a leash and attended at all times. ( and cleaned up after. fun)
