lets see those bungee straps......I concocted something similar for daytona and liked them so much I never changed it out..

ill get some pics this weekend...they are super strong and there is NO WAY your losing you hood with em...Wammer said hes tried several different rubber durometers and finally found some that work best..they dont strech out or anything...i lost my old hood and the buckle type straps i had before broke instantly after my latch

I used 3/8th inch bungee cord...west marine had a kit of adjustable bungees...

I thought they'd just be a temp fix but once trimmed to length they are way easy to pop on and off but hold tight as a mf'er

these are the flat style of solid rubber straps not the individual strands wrapped together..kinda like a waterbox strap

if you can post a pic of where the straps mount up near the handlepole bracket. interested in seeing how you attatched them.

drilled through the pole bracket and through bolted them with the supplied hardware....i didnt want to remove the pole so chad eye balled it from the underside..they came out almost perfect

Looks like he has 2 going into the manifold, one pissing off the head, and a tee pissing off the line going to the stinger. If so thats how i have run all my skis too down here in FL, not to cold not to hot.
