superjet crankshafts

Are all the crankshafts from the 650s to 701s the same? I think they are but not sure.

Yes, all the 650,701 & 760 are interchangeable.................
However, there are some slight differances in the 760 oem crank & they all have differant part numbers. But if you were to purchase the Hot rods aftermarket crank, it would work in all.

So if I buy a crank out of a 650 superjet I can use it in my 701t superjet. I thought they were all the same but when I looked at yamahas parts finder they gave different part #s. So I thought I better ask.

Also is $150 too much to pay for a used crank that is in good condition. When I say good I mean no frozen bearings or bent rods.

I am trying to get a short block put together for my sj so if I get this crank all I will need is a set of cases.

I think to qualify a crank as "good", it needs to be better than "no frozen bearings and no bent rods".
You want bearings that spin smoothly and don't clank or clatter. You want rods that spin easily and have little to no side-to-side play.

Otherwise you're looking at rebuilding the crank.

I was planning on having it rebuilt and having trued/welded before I put it in my ski.

I said good not great. Plus I know the skis history that it comes from.

If you're planning on having it rebuilt, then you might as well just buy a Hot Rods. $150 + rebuild + true & weld will run you more than the NEW Hot Rods crank! Seriously.

I looked at pro-tec and they get $135 for a rebuild and true/weld. Mabye its a misprint. Dont hotrods cranks go for about $450 new?

Now I am not sure about pro-tec. I looked again. It says $65 for true/weld. Then below that it says $135 for a rebuild + true/weld. So its probably $200 for both. I should probably call to find out for sure. $135 seems pretty cheap for both services.
