Right there with you man....but gotta admit that for the most part, crashing in the water hurts a helluva lot less. I've been riding street bikes for 7 years and that will never get outta my system, but I think off-road has. After witnessing my buddy break his back on his Raptor 2 years ago while we were riding on a motocross track, I've not had a lot of desire to go flinging myself through the air on land.

Maybe a compromise would be getting a dirtbike and converting it into a street legal super motard...those things are a frickin hoot!!! Not sure how I haven't gone to jail the times I've ridden one

i was discussing the dirtbike thing just the other day while looking at replica75's yz250. i use to have a rm125, cr250r, and a kx250. i dont miss them much. i kinda miss 4-wheelers a little but i do not miss dirtbikes as much. they are fun but i like the freedom i have to try whatever i want in the water without getting hurt as bad. try to invert a dirtbike and see what happens to you. give it a month or two.....if you still have the bug after that then buy one......prolly just your obessive compulsive disorder kicking in though.

I'd like to try it but Im glad we got into go-karts and not dirt bikes. We used to race (dad, bro and me) when we were 8 or so and until we were 12 or so. He considered dirtbikes, but changed his mind when he saw a 5 year old with crutches, Im glad he did. Even so in go-karts, I still managed a hospital trip resulting from flipping my kart over going into a hairpin at around 40-50. The thing was moving so fast it flipped once (my helmet cracked open on the road) and then a second time, and thus since we have no seatbelts, I flew out and landed some 20 feet away. We sure broke a lot of ********

Well I used to ride for quite a long time, but now after having both of my shoulders rebuilt at age 21 and being laid up for 3 months each shoulder I will not ever ride one ever again. just my 2 cents

I was on my way home yesterday after a nice ride at the river, and I passed by a local track. It was 90 out and dusty as hell over there. I thought....I have the same good workout feeling I would get from a hard ride at the track, but I didn't have red dirt stuck in every crevice of my body. I wasn't sweaty and sticky. My truck wasn't all dirty...and I didn't have to clean my bike off!!!!! Oh, and I didn't have any broken bones!! :Banane01:

My quad just sits there collecting dust and getting in the way of my skis.

A dirt bike would probably do the same thing.:frown:

just sold my bike a few weeks ago...skis are twice as fun...

I dunno if I can agree with this one. Railing a corner perfectly gives a killer feeling, and I have never had the adrenaline rush that a wfo 110 foot triple gives.

They each have their place.........

It just depends on what you want at the time!

On a side note - Motocrossers are killed or paralyzed more frequently in the sport than standup junkies.

Ahhh, it's helping, the urge is less intense now.:purr:

A good, long day of ribcage to slightly overhead surf helped too.:Banane01::Banane01::Banane01::Banane01::Banane01::Banane01: I just pretended the (major) chop was giant sand whoops...

Love them. I can't shake the bug. Rode hard from the start. My parents rode dirt. But my wifey cut me way back.I ride a 04 yzf 302 stroker. Its a fun bike I ride twice a month. Limits carnage. Skis have hurt me pretty good as well.

How does the 302 stroker's power compare to a 2000 YZ250 2 stroke?:sneaky:
