I tried the Skat-Trak Swirl 13/18 Impeller that weighed 2.5lbs; it gave very good bottom end acceleration. The Scat-Trak Swirl blades are longer, thicker and weigh a bit lot more than the Concord. I switched it to a 1.8lbs Solas Concord 13/18 cut back 3mm and lost some of the bottom end, but made a huge improvement in mid range acceleration. Going from the Swirl to the Concord was like installing a light-weight flywheel on the other end of the engine.

read through this thread, it is compairing the two..........

both are good props, I have ran both, prefer the skat, it hooks up a bit sooner than the concord does, as far as hitting better in the low end vs midrange is all controlled by the pitch of each respected prop........ keep in mind, just because the prop pitchs may be the same between the two, they are not epual............ you can contact Dave at www.impros.com let him know what your application and he will help you out.

re-read what you read...........noones going to dis a concord

i have always heard that the skat 12/17 freeride was an awesome prop...supposedly has just a touch more 'bite' right off idle......

but a cutback concord 13/17ish will astonish you....

there is a guy that rides here local with us who has a brand new 06....the only mods are a shortened pole, concord 13.15 setback, worx 201 and straight bars...

lemme tell ya....that boat freaking R.I.P.S!!!!!!!!!!............the prop is often overlooked by many as being not all that important......up until recently I was one of those, not anymore..

Creative RE Purchasing
I have a stock engine with protec intake grate and protec rec rideplate. In addition I have a 13/16 3mm cutback Solas Concord and it rips. Compared to the stock prop; it is like night and day. I have never ran skat, but I love my Concord. Get a Concord and you won't be sorry.

I agree with IDOK, most people often over look the prop, but when I hoped on my recently purchased SJ with a stock prop I knew it had to go. I purchased my prop from Blowsion. It was expensive but worth every penny.

I am running the Concord 13/17 and it is the best prop I have had in my ski so far. I plan to get it cut back 3mm and pitched back to 13/16 this winter, hopefully this will increase my rippage factor a little
