Very nice job on the tray work!
How does your filled bondline nose mod work out when surfing waves? Seems that having the stock form overhanging lip helps keep it from pearling when coming down a wave.
The longer nose section is one of the best mods by far and it keeps the nose higher and works great for creating setup wakes combined with the trim system.
I got the idea from the new SuperJet which has a longer front section and I just decided to take the idea a little more forward to bond line.
It also adds reinforcement from breaking the nose off and was real easy to create.
do you plan on selling a piece to mold in there???? if it works well, it should be a simple thing to do to prevent a very common problem... I like the idea a lot. Jerry Brandon kinda pioneered this idea w/ his surf nose... It's nice to see people expanding on it.
I have a couple sets of the extra large tubbies already made that I'm going to bring to Daytona, but I'm not planning on selling the front section because it's real easy to create just with expanding foam.
With the ski upside down, I just taped a piece of cardboard to the front section and up the sides of the hull. I used two-part expanding, eight-pound foam, poured it into the cavity and partially on the front hull section. I used a small piece of aluminum tubing inserted in the front bow eye to keep it from leaking through and to add some extra support. Then just use an ordinary wood saw to cut the foam flush with the hull contour. I then mixed some 3:1 epoxy with micro balloons and did the final shaping before laying a couple layers of 3 oz. chop, then sanded it smooth.
The dual front exhaust cuts down on the noise and smoke slightly; also it acts as a water drain from one side to the other during turns.Why dual? Is there a benefit over the single front only? I am pretty anal when it comes to symmetrical things but I can live with only one side exhaust since I can't see it while riding.
Great job with the tray, your work looks top shelf. but enough of that I want to see more pics of the workbench and stuff under it

That's just a walk-in closet with six storage shelves and a bunch of old jet-ski parts.
BTW... I'm running low on 64X intake manifolds and 61X-62T front timing covers.
If you have some front timing covers without the oil pump hole, bring them to Daytona and I'll give ya some cash. :burnout:Hmm I might Know where there's some timing covers laying around,
since your getting low :sneaky::sneaky:
