hmm, there are those moments, when you re just a bit to slow to do the right action... Might seem it could have been avoided easily, but I m pretty sure, everybody did have moments like that in his life. hopefully with a better ending.

That is why we set up buoys and ride. I had a seajet 1350 Tbone me years ago while on a superjet. Had a 550 broken into two pieces by an X2 in the 80s

Its easy to make judgements when you've been forwarned of whats coming up, but some times things happen so quickly its hard to react. I had almost the exact same thing happen to me before. Friend and my self were racing each other to make it to a small inlet first, a third friend was ahead of us and made a left turn with out looking, which ended up as a three way collision. We all hit pretty hard and luckily no one was hurt but there was significant ski, and ego damage, and rightfully, we all felt pretty dumb.

Ouch... that sucks. Any aftermath pics of the skis? That happened pretty fast, I don't think he could have completely avoided it...

DONT ride in somebody's blind spot. I did this to Frank...and he turned around fast and hit me the same way (going much much much slower)
Madmat and I have hit each other..we both did re-entrys off of the same wave from opposite sides...there was no turning because we were both in the white wash.

I now ride FAR away from everyone...

Uh look before you turn is a surefire way to avoid most of these "accidents". I ride by myself a lot but never assume I'm the only dude on the water. Like I said before, if the dude with the camera was a boat who would've won that bout. I say the guy on the SXR should've looked first.

The guy on the SJ lets off a :12 and they hit at :15. I know things happen fast and its hard to react quick but three seconds seems like a long enough time to turn right or left and mash the gas. Thats not even counting the 1 or 2 seconds he saw his buddy turn before he let off the gas. Glad everyone was ok though.

Hind sight is allways 20/20'
