and the rest of the pics . the nozzle will need a return spring to help the cable.

the first slight problem I see is that when the cable is pulled it tries to pull every thing to that side . So I will try to put a loose fitting sleeve to help keep the trim cable as strait as possible .
In case anyone is wondering behind the stainless steal tab will be a barrel type clamp like how they clamp the end of the cable on a bicycles brakes system (which is why I posted a picture of one )

Ok so after messing around with the trim setup I found that I couldn't keep the cable from pulling to one side . So I have abandoned the mark1 and built the mark2 which will pull down on the cable like the mark1 but will not pull the cable to one side like the mark1. So here are the pictures of its construction.

One of the fun things to try is drilling a hole into a stainless steel bolt with a 5/32 drill bit the only way I have found this to be possible is to make a fixture to hold the bolt and guide the bit thru the bolt . This hole is nesssary to clamp the cable in place. So here are some pics of the fixture and the finished bolt.

and now here are the rest of the pics showing how far the trim operates . From nutral trim it will go to max up trim when the handle is pulled. One of the nice things about this trim setup is that the mechinism is in the ski not out side like other X-2 trims or the stock setup. I cant wait to get the ski together so I can really test the setup out but that is still a long way down the road .

The pics don't show that it clears but it does. I have checked the steering from lock to lock with the trim installed and there are no clearence issues to worry about.

I love the idea but I would think you need the box the whole thing by runnig alum up the other side too. Its easy to pull right now but once you have the froce of the jet end the water it will bend that lower plate.
But you gave me a great idea for how to build one now.

glad to give you an idea . You helped me see a potential weaknes and will be beefing up the stainless steel plate with some bracing .:Banane35:

today I figured I would do something about the problem of the trim ring . So I switch out the plastic on with an aluminum one from a 750st hopefuly it wont be as prone to breaking like the plastic ones are .

I have been reading about one of the problems of high up trim angles is they have the tendency to bend the cable in half. So I think I have a solution to the problem . This setup would be for surf riders who ride with the trim up all the time . It is real simple to put on and take off plus it is adjustible so you can have regular trim and then you use your trim handle to go to max trim or you can adjust it to run full up trim all the time.

well got the engine back from team scream but I will have to wait to finish the rest of the mods to it . Funds ran a little low so I'm going to have to finish it later . So far what has been done is the cases have been machined for the 650 stator and got an ada 750 non girdeled head with 28cc domes . When I take it back there both the cyl and the ext head pipe will be getting ported .Not sure if I'm still going to have the 650 flywheel lightened . It is already about 1 pound lighter then the 750 one anyway.

The biggest problem that you may have is using the trim while under power. If it takes too much force then adapt a ring and nozzle from a 900ZXI. Its design has very little feedback from steering or trim and is easy to adapt to an X2 nozzle.

well if it does have to much power I may try that . I also have the manually adjustable tube that fits over the trim cable in the back of the ski. And if all else fails I will use that . But right now I will have to let my funds build back up befor I go any further.

I haven't checked but it is bigger than the nozzel bore and it looks close to the same size as the plastic one . So im not worried about it

the biggest problem with mutiple projects is the tendence to all come together at the same time forcing me to chose which one to finish first truck or ski. truck or ski decisions decisions.
